This year, the official event took place from October 17th to 19th, 2023, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas. Prior to the main event, many networking activities and cultural introductions were “heated up” in San Francisco.

The event was attended by the promotional delegation of Vietnam, led by Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, along with representatives from more than 11 airlines, travel businesses, and hotels from Vietnam, as well as about 100 invited guests who were travel businesses in California. Representing the Capellacruise, Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Thuy Quynh, a member of the Board of Directors of Vietstar Cruises, had the honor of participating in this series of events.

With the 3-night itinerary with Capellacruise, passengers also have the chance to immerse in the traditional Vietnamese Tea Ceremony. 

Sustainable Tourism

The recognition of Cat Ba Island and Lan Ha Bay as a World Heritage Site also highlights the importance of sustainable tourism. With this designation comes a commitment to preserving the environment and promoting responsible travel. Visitors are encouraged to minimize their ecological footprint, respect the local culture, and support initiatives that protect these natural wonders for future generations. Understanding the importance of sustainability, Capellacruise has included lots of ideas in our Ecomastery Project and execute in different phases to be the pioneer of sustainable cruising in Lan Ha Bay. We have done Earth Hour when all passengers aboard volunteered to join the event of listening to live classical guitar music while turning off all lights. 

Capellacruise’s Water Bottles and “Drink Me” Stations are implemented to replace single-use plastic bottles.

Meanwhile, we also organize Green Sail Program to let guests sometimes take part in collecting trashes in Frog Lagoon, where Capellacruise usually anchors. Thanks to our guests’ contribution, the bay is definitely cleaner.

As the largest and most prestigious annual international tourism trade event in Vietnam, the 17th edition of ITE HCMC was held in 2023 under the theme “Moving Forward Together.” This event was organized in collaboration between the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism.

ITE HCMC is an annual international tourism event aimed at enhancing exchanges, promoting tourism, and expanding business opportunities for companies both domestically and internationally. Furthermore, ITE HCMC 2023 would feature a hybrid format, combining physical events with online components such as 2D virtual booths, 3D virtual trade fairs, and online meetings between international buyers and sellers.

ITE HCMC 2023 was successful beyond expectation. It attracted more than 300 participating businesses and 150 high-end buyers from over 50 countries and territories, significantly along with over 25,000 visitors, all converging at a single venue over the course of three exhibition days.
